Union County Crash Claims Second Life After Weekend Accident
A weekend crash that occurred on September 6 on State Route 31 at Miller Road in Union County has claimed another life.
According to a release from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, a Jeep Renegade being operated by 23-year-old Sofia Ingunza, of Columbus, drove left of center while traveling north on 31, and her vehicle struck a car being driven by 23-year-old Chloe Price, of West Mansfield.
Price was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ingunza’s vehicle caught on fire after the collision, and after the fire was extinguished, she was flown to a Columbus-area trauma center.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office was notified on Thursday that she died at the OSU Hospital.
At this time, it is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash, which remains under investigation.
