Detroit Street between Eliza Street and Carrol Street in the city of Kenton is slated to close Monday, May 5 for the Ohio Department of Transportation’s reconstruction project.
The full depth reconstruction project will include new curb, curb ramps, and sidewalks.
That section will be closed for approximately 180 days, which is early November.
It is separate from the city’s revitalization project that currently has Detroit Street closed from Ohio to Carrol Street.
That section is expected to reopen in late July.
Also, from the Ohio Department of Transportation starting next week, U.S. 68 between the Hancock County line and the city of Kenton will be restricted to alternating one way through the work zone for crack sealing operations.
More information on the projects can be found here.
