Vehicle Strikes Pedestrian

A Kenton woman was injured Wednesday morning in downtown Kenton.

According to the accident report, 40 year old Santrice Dennard of Lima was stopped for a red light facing north in the left turn lane of South Main Street. When the light had turned green, she had no traffic to wait for and proceed to turn left to head westbound on West Franklin Street, striking a pedestrian who had the walk signal to proceed through the crosswalk.

Dennard was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian in right of way.

The Kenton woman struck by the vehicle received injuries.
