Wayne L. “Speck” Rogers, Longtime Hardin County Leader and Businessman, Dies at 96

An area government leader and businessman has passed away.

Wayne L. “Speck” Rogers died this past Tuesday March 25 at the age of 96.

Rogers served as a Hardin County Commissioner for 3 terms and served on Kenton City Council for 12 years.

The U.S. Navy veteran owned and operated Rogers SOHIO station in Kenton for many years.

He also delivered fuel and was a truck driver for Standard Oil.
