A Celebration of Life for Doris V. (Kissling) Harbison will be held at a later date. It was her wish to be cremated. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Doris passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, surrounded by her family at her bedside. She was born on February 3, 1945, in Kenton to the late Ralph and Margaret (Anderson) Kissling. She married Warren Harbison, but they later divorced.
She is survived by two sons, Brian Keith Harbison and David Everett Harbison, both of Kenton; a granddaughter whom she raised, Brittney Marie Harbison of Kenton; three sisters, Carole Ann (Clayton) Kissling Downey, Rebecca Sue (Jeff) Kissling Ross of Kenton, and Phyllis Elaine (Doug) Kissling Brown of Findlay; a sister-in-law, Sharon Eastman Kissling; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Anderson Kissling.
Doris was a 1963 graduate of Kenton High School. She worked at Findlay Whirlpool until her retirement and later became a homemaker. Doris was also a proud member of the Kenton Moose. While she was a private person, she deeply valued time spent with her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Doris’s honor may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
