Barbara A. Gottfried age 90 of Upper Sandusky, passed away July 25, 2024 at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 8, 1933 in Upper Sandusky to the late Herman A. and Esther (Kuenzli) Stephan. Barbara married Larry L Gottfried on June 29, 1952, and he passed away on June 19, 2014.
She is survived by her children Michael Gottfried, Upper Sandusky, Karen Gottfried, FL, Jack (Carla) Gottfried, Upper Sandusky, Eric Gottfried, Upper Sandusky, grandchildren Nicole (Rod) Bowen, Alacia (Matt) Evans, Sarah (Jason) Richards, Mindy (Matt) Parsell, Emily (David) Wahl, Jenna (Wesley) Hamilton, Chad (Halle) Gottfried, Brittany (Dan) Dewyre, and Evan (Emily) Gottfried, and 18 great grandchildren.
Barbara was a 1951 Upper Sandusky High School graduate. She went on to work for Wyandot Memorial Hospital Laboratory Department for over 25 years as well as having spent time working at the Wyandot Manor Nursing Home. Barbara was a member on Tri-G Mother’s Club, and the Warpole Chapter OES. She enjoyed bowling, baking and was known for her famous sugar cookies.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30am Monday July 29, 2024 in Old Mission Cemetery with Pastor Barry Halter officiating.
