
Byron Lynn Boehm, 68 of Dunkirk passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 outside on his farm, doing what he loved. He was born in Bluffton, Ohio, the first son, following three sisters, on Father’s Day, June 16, 1957.
Lynn was a 1975 graduate of Hardin Northern High School.
He married Nadine McNutt on February 27, 1982 and she survives along with three children; Zac (Lindsay) Boehm of Van Buren, Nik (Miriam) Boehm of Dunkirk and Chelsea Boehm of Jenera. Lynn is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Camden, Easton and Nolan Boehm, brother, Tom (Cindy) Boehm of rural Forest, sisters; Anna (David) Wolford of rural Forest, Laurie (Lee) Laird of Arcadia, Mary Vergiels of Florida and Nancy (Sean) Tobin of Dunkirk, foster sisters, Sue Doerzbacher, Vickie Weinandy, brother-in-law, Byron (Brenda) McNutt of Eagle River, WI, sister-in-law Rita McNutt of Upper Sandusky and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Byron D. and Mildred (Wilson) Boehm and a brother and sister-in-law, Darl (Kathy) McNutt. Lynn retired as a truck driver from ADS after 29 years of service.
He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served in many capacities over the years, including Chairman of the Congregation, Sunday School Teacher, Trustee, Elder and Deacon.
He enjoyed traveling out west to Rock Point, AZ making many trips with his children to the Navajo Reservation where they enjoyed missionary work. He was a dart ball player on the Jenera Jr. Team and he was also a member of the Young Farmers Association.
Lynn loved the outdoors and spending time on his farm doing many things from milking dairy cows, raising sheep to making maple syrup and was never found without a bottle of Diet Mt. Dew.
He was a kind and hard working man, who gave his life serving God and loving others, earning the calluses on his hands and pouring out his heart to his family and community. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
Lynn was a wonderful husband and proud father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera where the family will receive friends for one hour (10:00 – 11:00 AM) prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Lynn to the Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission in Rock Point, AZ.
