It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Christopher Franz (Chris) Renfrew, who died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of April 6, 2025 at the age of 70.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, his sons, Jason and Caleb, and his sister, Annie Burba, sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Mary Ann Renfrew, and his brothers Gregg and Tim.

Chris was born on July 31, 1954 in Kenton, Ohio. He graduated from Kenton Senior High School in 1972, and received his Associate Degree of Electronics from the Ohio Institute of Technology in 1978. Chris used his talents in many different capacities throughout his career, most notably as an electronic technician and woodworker.

Chris found much of his joy in music, as an avid guitar player and singer/songwriter over the years. Everyone that knows Chris, probably associates him with his signature Gibson Les Paul Guitar. He also greatly enjoyed playing golf from a young age, frequenting the Memorial Park Golf Club in Kenton, OH, home of ‘Ollie’s Folly’, a tribute to his father. Chris was also a big sports fan, rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes (2025 National Football Champions), the Dallas Cowboys, the Dallas Mavericks, the Texas Rangers, and the Dallas Stars.

As we remember Chris Renfrew today, let us cherish our time with him and celebrate the impact he had on all of our lives.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 18, 2025, 2:00 pm, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel, 740 S. Edmonds Ln., Lewisville, TX 75067.
