Funeral services for Daniel Lee Stahler will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Jmac Geissinger officiating. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the funeral home. The family has asked to please dress casually.
Dan passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Story Point of Findlay. He was born on September 12, 1941, to the late Homer and Nell (Hone) Stahler. On August 12, 1961, he married his high school sweetheart and wife of 64 years, Jo Ann Bloom and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are a daughter, Jo Lee (George) Winebrenner, son, Andrew Stahler, sister, Nora Ferguson, grandchildren, Jessican (Matt) Brackman, Heather (Mike) Struble, Krane (Liz) Stahler, Kyle (Morgan) Stahler, Kinell Stahler, Kate Stahler, 12 great-grandchildren, a special family friend, Anita Mouser, a sister-in-law, Patty (Dick) Kritzler, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Stahler, a daughter-in-law, Christine Stahler, and brothers, Junior (Barb) Stahler, Jack (Jan) Stahler and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Ferguson.
Dan went to school in Rushsylvania where he played football and basketball. He worked for over 40 years at Mid-Ohio Energy as a tree trimmer and line supervisor. Dan loved horses and trap shooting. He shoed horses after work for many years and was a member of the Horseshoe Pitchers Club. He also started the Silvercreek Striders 4H Club.
Dan and his wife enjoyed many motorcycle trips, train trips, camping and making memories. They also always enjoyed attending their children and grandchildren’s activities.
He spent most mornings with his good friends at the Midway Diner, always joking and making new friends.
Memorial donations in Dan’s honor may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice or St. Vincent DePaul.
