Obituary for Dennis L. Howard

Graveside services for Dennis Howard will be held July 8, 2025 at 11:00am at Preston Cemetery in Alger, with Pastor Tex Rowe officiating.

He passed away peacefully on June 19th at his residence. 

Dennis was born on October 13, 1957 to the late Dan and Edith (Lois) Howard in Kenton, Ohio. Dan preceded him in death in June of 1995 and Edith (Lois) in February of 2013. 

Survivors include wife Gayle Howard of FL; son Greg Howard of FL; seven brothers Dan (Lou) Howard Jr., Don (Penny) Howard, Rick (Vivian) Howard, Tony Howard and Duane Howard all of FL and both Kenny (Cheryl) Howard and Ron Howard of Kenton; three sisters, Janet Joseph of FL, Linda (Jim) Wrigley of IN and Brenda Sanders of Kenton; along with 1 grandson, 3 great grandsons and 1 granddaughter; several nieces, nephews, along with many great nieces and nephews.

Dennis dedicated more than 30 years of his life to Covanta Energy where his strong work ethic and loyalty left a lasting impression. Beyond his career, he was known for his quick wit, contagious laughter and love for gardening. Family was at the heart of everything Dennis did, and his warmth and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
