of Kenton

Dennis Marshall Hottman passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, at St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima. He was born in Kenton on October 1, 1941, to the late Glenn and Evelyn (Crevison) Hottman. On February 21, 1964, he married Martha Louise Dick, who survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are his children, Jeffrey Todd (Ronda) Hottman of Kenton and Denise Louise Hottman of Kenton; his grandchildren, Jarrett Michael (Jo Ann) Hottman of Marysville, Rachelle Nicole (Curtis) Heydinger of Kenton, and Brandon Glenn Patrick (Shea) Hottman of Grove City; and his great-grandchildren, Aryia Jade Heydinger, Stevie Halen Hottman, Indie James Hottman, and Hayes Brian Heydinger, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne (Jean), Elwood (Barbara), Glenn Jr. (Ann), and Norman (Charlotte).

A 1960 graduate of Kenton High School, Dennis served as an EMT during the founding of BKP. Throughout his career, he worked at International Car, Rockwell/Meritor, and the Price-McElroy Funeral Home. He was also a member of the Elks and Moose Lodges. Dennis enjoyed car magazines, late-night talk shows, and keeping up with current events. He most cherished attending his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s swim meets, dance recitals, soccer matches, and baseball games.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial donations in Dennis’s honor may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
