
Donald L. Barth, age 71, of Sycamore, passed away peacefully at his residence on February 12, 2026. He was born May 10, 1954, in Wyandot County, to the late Richard A. Barth and Rebecca J. (Funk) Barth Serin.
On July 5, 1974, Don married the love of his life, Carol A. Bland, and together they shared 51 years of marriage filled with love, commitment, and cherished memories. She survives in Sycamore. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first.
Don is also survived by his children, Courtney A. Barth of Upper Sandusky and James (Lisa) Barth of Tiffin; two grandsons, Collin J. Barth and Gavin J. Barth, both of Tiffin; a brother, Dennis (Tammy) Barth of Port Clinton; sisters, Bonnie (Robert) McKee of Carey, June A. Bland of Fostoria, Monica (James) Perry-Fitch of Sterling, Virginia, Theresa Barth of Perry, New York, and Florence Nelson of New York; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew L. Barth, who passed away July 1, 2007.
Don attended Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky. He enjoyed fishing and cherished attending his grandsons’ sporting events. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, and he also had a fond appreciation for the cartoon character Garfield, which often brought a smile to his face.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Stauffer and Matt Riedlinger officiating. Interment will follow at McCutchenville Cemetery, McCutchenville. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at Bringman Clark Funeral Home.
