
Elaine S. Dirmeyer, 76 of Dunkirk passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. She was born on December 12, 1949 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Robert D. and Mabel I. (VanAtta) Beard.
Elaine married Carl Brewster and he preceded her in death. She then married Roger Dirmeyer on April 6, 1974 and he survives along with three daughters; Angela (Courtney) Whitaker of Ada, Carole Dirmeyer of Arlington and Amber (Kenneth) Hopson of Dunkirk and six grandchildren; Zane (Melea) Whitaker, Mya and Kaitlyn Whitaker, Ava, Nolan and Aspen Hopson, great-granddaughter, Violet Whitaker.
Elaine is also survived by her brothers; Dennis (Nancy) Beard of rural Findlay, Keith (Christine) Beard of Arlington and a sister, Paulette (Dean) Davis of Arlington.
She was a 1968 graduate of Arlington High School. Elaine retired from Wilson Football Factory in Ada, Ohio. She was an avid Hardin Northern Polar Bear and Ohio State Buckeye fan. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending all of their sporting events. She also enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie and taking bus tours with her husband. Elaine was also a longtime member of Bethel Church of Christ, Ada.
A private funeral service will be held at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington.
Burial will follow in Dola Cemetery.
