Eleanor Humphrey, 88, of Arlington, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, at Serenity Springs in Arlington. She was born on December 27, 1937, in Dola, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Helen (Dirmeyer) LaRoche. On January 12, 1957, she married Marvin Humphrey, who preceded her in death on January 21, 2020.
She is survived by two children, Terry (Cheryl) Humphrey of Eckerman, MI, and Vicki Hoy of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; three grandchildren, Derek (Natalie) Hays, Tyler (Lynnette) Humphrey, and Jordan Humphrey; nine great-grandchildren, Abby (Bailey) Gardner, Libby Hays, Ezra Garver, Ethan Garver, Kaylee Hays, Kade Hays, Kolt Hays, Keaton Hays, and Ava Humphrey; two great-great-grandchildren, Finnley and Brooks Gardner; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Larry and Louise LaRoche, and her grandson, Corey Hays.
Eleanor graduated from Hardin Northern High School and worked as a homemaker and beautician. She previously attended Walnut Grove Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. She loved helping others and cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Gregg King officiating. Burial will follow at Dola Cemetery. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions in Eleanor’s honor may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
