Funeral services for Eleanor Louise Oates will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Rev. Doug Flinn officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the funeral home.

Eleanor died on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at The Hardin Hills Health Center in Kenton. She was born in Kenton to the late Guy and Wanda (Bell) Chamberlin.

Surviving are her children; Kurt (Nancy) Oates of Waynesfield, Amy (Ian) Drummond of Florida, Travis (Susan) Oates of Kenton, grandchildren; Daniel (Susan) Oates, Robyn Oates, Rebecca Oates, Preston Oates, McKinley Oates, Owen Drummond, and great-grandchildren; Bailey Oates and Amelia Oates.

She was preceded in death by siblings; Reba Lavon Chamberlin, Effie Viola Chamberlin, Alberta Mae Chamberlin, Norval Guy Chamberlin, Franklin Delano Chamberlin, Curtiss Leo Chamberlin, Burl Patrick Chamberlin and Julia Ann Chamberlin.

Eleanor was a 1961 graduate of Kenton High School. She worked various jobs around Kenton but retired as the manager of Hardin Crest.

She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and watching Ohio State football games.
