Emma Jean (Manns) Fox passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She was born on December 18, 1934, in Waylon, Kentucky to the late Green and Sefronia Manns. She married Carl Fox, and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are 2 sons, Dennis Cooper, Neil (Becky) Cooper, a daughter, Deanna Wages, a sister, Sue Adams, 2 brothers, Earnest Manns, Eddie Manns, 14 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 4 children, Rickey Maurice Hamlin, Danny Sim Hamlin, Terry Dean Hamlin, Allan Roger Hamlin, a grandson, Dannie Hamlin Jr, a son-in-law, Ronnie Wages, and siblings, Hagar Manns, Georgie Treen, Herbert Manns, Roberta Huff, Justine Whitmore, Virgil Manns, J.B. Manns, and Billie Mae Legge. 

Emma Jean was a member of the Kenton Full Gospel Church. She was a homemaker.

In her younger years, Emma Jean enjoyed bowling and traveling with her husband. She was also a huge Ronnie McDowell fan and enjoyed shopping on QVC. 

Funeral services for Emma Jean will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Randy Manns officiating. Burial will follow at McDonald Fairview Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home. 

Memorial donations in Emma Jean’s honor may be made to Helping Hands of Hardin County.
