Frederick D. Swartz age 78 of Upper Sandusky, passed away on Thursday January 18, 2024 at his residence. He was born on July 15, 1945 in Upper Sandusky to Harold and Margaret (Hochrine) Swartz.
Surviving are three nephews Jeff (Alda) Brown of Brownstown, Mike (Yvonne) Brown of Nevada, Jamie (Paula) Brown of Nevada, many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Shirley Brown, nephews Tim Brown and Glenn Brown.
Fred graduated from Upper Sandusky High School class of 1964. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Fred retired from General Telephone in Marion, OH. He was a member of Wyandot County Gun Club, and National Raffle Association. Fred was a life member of Marion Motorcycle Club. For hobbies he enjoyed putting together military models, riding motorcycles and repairing, modifying, designing and building guns.
A graveside will be held Monday January 29, 2024 at 11am in Old Mission Cemetery with Pastor Barry Halter officiating. Military honors will be conducted by Upper Sandusky Veterans Color Guard.
