
Helen M. Pool, age 99, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 2, 2026. She was born in Nevada, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Odessa (Neate) Zulauf, and spent her life in Wyandot County.
She retired from Columbia Gas. Following her retirement, she and her husband, Dick, enjoyed traveling together, taking many memorable trips and cruises until his passing in 1996. Helen had a giving heart and enjoyed serving others. She volunteered for many years at Wyandot Memorial Hospital and with American Red Cross blood drives. She was also a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick; sister, Ruth Davis; and brothers, John and Robert Zulauf. Left to cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews, Carl Zulauf, Darlene (Mike) Davis-Postell, Elizabeth (Jerry) Brooks, Fred (Gloria) Zulauf, Dan (Cathy) Davis, Don (Lannette) Davis, and Joyce (Ray) Bullion; along with numerous great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and a great-great-great-niece.
Helen’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Darlene and Don, the staff of DeWolfe House, and Julia with Gentiva Hospice for the loving care and support they provided Helen during her final days.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Poole officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s honor to Wyandot Memorial Hospital or the DeWolfe House Activity Fund in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home,
