
Helen Rosemarie Rall of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and formerly of Columbus, Ohio, passed away. Helen and her twin sister were born on April 8, 1945, in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Raymond and Gladys (Brown) Rall.
Surviving Helen are her children, Zachary and Lydia (Brandon Chrobak) of Columbus, Ohio, along with her siblings Reuben (Rosa) Rall, Danny (Debbie) Rall, Harriet (Randy) Amendola, Pat (Dave) Smith, Susan (Roger) Schoenberger, and Charles (Verlinda) Rall.
Also surviving are her in-laws, Tom Heinle, Sally Ealy, and Becky Myles; her Godchildren, Raymond Rall, Denae Rall Sullivan, Bernadette Smith Haggerty, and James Amendola; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great- nieces and nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Rachel Rall Morrison, her brother-in-law Charles Morrison, her niece Carrie Rall, her nephew Matt Phillips, and the Smith Triplets.
Helen graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1963. She then earned a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and a master’s degree from Ashland University, both in education. She worked in hospitals across Ohio for 30 years as a lab technician before returning to education. She retired in 2011 as a high school Biology and History teacher with the Ohio Department of Youth Services.
In her retirement, she volunteered at St. Lawrence Haven and Holy Name Catholic Church. She spent five seasons working as a Red Coat at Ohio Stadium. She served on the Board of Directors for CLC Insurance for eight years. Helen was a founding member of the Sugar Run Art Association and helped with Art in the Park and the booth at the fair.
A devote Helen was a member of Salem St. Joseph Catholic Church, Holy Name Parish in Columbus, and Transfiguration of the Lord Parish. She enjoyed reading, gardening, photography, praying the rosary, spending time with her children and family, crocheting, cooking, baking, hunting, and being in nature. She also traveled on pilgrimages to the Holy Land and Medjugorje, sang, and visited with her siblings, extended family, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Transfiguration of the Lord Parish, on Friday Oct. 31 at 11:00am with Friar Savio Manavalan OFM Conv. officiating.
Visitation will be held on Thursday Oct. 30, 2025 from 4pm-8pm.
For Helen’s family and friends in Columbus, a prayer service will be held later at Holy Name Parish.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in honor of the love and care they provided Helen in her final years and sent to Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E. Wyandot Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
