Obituary for Hilda F. Stansbery

Hilda F. Stansbery age 87 formerly of Forest, had been residing in Xenia with her granddaughter.

She was born Mar. 27, 1938 in Vinton Co. to the late Darrell and Maude (Erwin) McKinniss. On July 6, 1954 she married Wayne Stansbery, he preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 2007. Surviving are sons Dale (Mary) Stansbery, Columbus, David Stansbery, Marseilles, daughters Kathy Giles, LaRue, Rebecca (Michael) Lundquist, Marion, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, siblings Sherman, Sheldon, Ella, Carol, Arnold, Ruth and Tim.

She is preceded in death by a son Dennis Stansbery, son-in-law Kevin Giles, a granddaughter, a great granddaughter, siblings Darrell, Merrill, Larry, Gordon, Audrey & Connie McKinniss.

Mrs. Stansbery was a member of Heritage Christian Union Church & Christian Union Women Fellowship. She was a caregiver in the Forest and Marseilles Area.

Her hobbies were collecting hummingbirds, sewing, reading, playing cards especially BUNCO at the
Essex, she loved being with with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, she had enjoyed taking drives with her late husband.

Funeral services will be held on Wed. July 30, 2025 at 12:00PM in the Heritage Christian Union Church with Pastor Mark Bishop officiating. Interment will be in Jackson Center Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00AM-12:00PM before time of services at the church.
