
James Collins III passed away unexpectedly at the Hardin Memorial Hospital ER on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. He was born on June 5, 1977, in Kenton to the late Steve and Joy Leah (Gammon) Smith.
Surviving are his children, Liberty Collins, Kaitlyn (Matthew) Newell, Chloe Colding, Caleb Collins, Riley Sloan, brothers, Chris (Lesa) Adams, Ben Collins, Brian Collins, Brady Collins, a granddaughter, Adeline, a special friend, Tiffany Glidden, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
James worked for You Care Habilitation Services.
In his free time, James enjoyed fishing and mowing his grass. James was also very handy; he could fix almost anything and was often found tinkering in the garage or working on a car. He was also a huge Denver Broncos fan.
A celebration of life for James will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for James may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
