Jane A. Woods of Forest, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday September 16, 2023 at Vancrest of Upper Sandusky. She was born on July 10, 1931 in Carey, OH to Fred and Edna (Hempy) Mitchell. Jane married her loving husband Donald E. Woods on June 12, 1949 in Grace United Methodist Church and he survives in Forest.
Jane is survived by her son Dale M. (Deb) Woods of Delaware, daughter-in-law Rhonda Woods of Upper Sandusky, grandchildren Lisa N. (Kent) Reinbolt of Bascom, Kevin M. (Erin) Woods of Delaware, Leann M. Woods of Columbus, great grandchildren Kyle and Kayla Reinbolt, Peyton and Kendall Bowman, Hayden and Brayden Woods. She was preceded in death by her son Robert E. Woods, grandson Kip T. Woods, great grandson Tyler M. Woods, sisters Dorotha Denning, Lillian Orians, Anabel Dible, Ada Wilgus and Virginia Sapp.
Jane graduated from Carey High School class of 1949. She helped her husband on the farm and with their dairy operation. She was formerly employed at Wharton Elevater and Walton Grain corp. in Wharton, OH. Jane enjoyed reading and watching football, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday Sept. 20, 2023 at 1pm in Clark Shields Funeral Home with pastor Mark Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Wharton Richland Union Cemetery in Wharton, OH. Visitation will be held Wednesday Sept. 20, 2023 from noon-1pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Nationwide Children Hospital, Upper Sandusky Community Library or Richland Township Fire Dept. in care of Clark Shields Funeral Home 301 S.
