Funeral services for Janice Faye (Schotte) Haudenschield will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the funeral home. 

Janice went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 12, 2025. She was born on May 12, 1944, in Marion County, Ohio to the late Lloyd and Lexie (Brammer) Schotte. She graduated from Kenton High School in 1962. She married Richard Ivan Haudenschield in 1963 and he preceded her in death on March 21, 2024. They had 2 sons, Jerry Lee (Samantha) Haudenschield, and Adam Clay Haudenschield who both survive.

Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Owen, Avery, Emily, 2 sisters, Lelah Susan Dyer, Ruth Edna Fout, a brother-in-law, Paul Fout, a niece, Heather Fout and 2 nephews, Cory Dyer, Shawn Dyer, and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by a nephew, Chris Fout. 

Janice worked in photography, the Hardin County Auditor’s Office and The Fischmann Law Office. She enjoyed writing stories, poetry, reading and doing word-finds. She especially enjoyed dancing with her husband, Richard. Janice loved being a mother and grandmother. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. 

Memorial donations in Janice’s honor may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
