Funeral services for Jeffrey Dyer will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 14, 2023 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the funeral home. The family has asked that everyone attending services to please dress casually and comfortably.
Jeffrey passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at the OSU James Cancer Hospital in Columbus. He was born on March 16, 1957, in Kenton to the late Omar “John” and Shirley (Sullivan) Dyer. On December 6, 1975 he married Tina Curtis and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are 2 children; Melissa (Ryan) Tracy, Michael (Mandy) Dyer, 4 sisters; Karen Hogue, Charlene (Norm) Lowe, Pam Conley, LeeAnn (Marty) Clark, 4 grandchildren; Riley, Ryder, Mandalee, Mirilee, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Gary Hogue.
Jeff was a 1976 graduate of Kenton High School and former employee of International Paper in Kenton.
He was a member of the First Christian Church in Kenton.
Jeff was a jokester who always liked to laugh. He loved his family and spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. In his free time, Jeff enjoyed working on cars and traveling with his family, mostly to Florida and Vegas. Jeff also enjoyed just sitting on his front porch watching the birds and squirrels that he fed every day.
