Jeni Donnell (Creager) Ward 72

of Dunkirk

A graveside service for Jeni Donnell (Creager) Ward will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the Dunkirk Cemetery with Pastor Gregg King officiating. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services at the cemetery. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jeni passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. She was born on September 29, 1952, in North Manchester, Indiana to the late Donald Creager and Frances (Barnes) Piper. On November 19, 1971, she married Gene Ward, and he survives in Dunkirk.

Also surviving are daughters, Lynn McMillion of Kenton, Lisa (Ryan) Cahill of Kenton, Lori (Josette Murray) Ward of Cridersville, half-brothers, Mike (Cathy) Piper, Scott (Laurie) Piper, Tony (Denise) Piper, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Chaz Ward, a brother, Jeff Creager, and a son-in-law, Jim McMillion.

Jeni is a 1970 graduate of Kenton High School. She is a former member of the Community Bible Church in Williamstown where she was baptized. She is also a former member of the Kenton Eagles.

In her younger years, Jeni enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers. Jeni also enjoyed shopping, doing jigsaw puzzles, and watching scary movies and westerns. She also liked to take trips to Wheeling, West Virginia to watch the dog races. Most of all, Jeni loved her family. She wanted everyone to feel loved and appreciated. One way she did this, she would send out handmade personalized cards for every occasion.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jeni’s may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
