Karew Manns Jr., age 75, of Kenton

Born on March 20, 1950, at San Antonio Hospital in Kenton, Karew was a lifelong resident of the community he loved. He was married to his devoted wife, Marilyn Manns, for 54 years, and together they built a legacy of love, faith, and family.

Karew was the proud owner of Manns Painting and Sandblasting for many years. He also faithfully served as the founder and pastor of New Hope Church for seven years. Later in life, Karew retired from the Hardin County Courthouse maintenance department. His work ethic, generosity, and dedication were evident in everything he did.

Above all, Karew loved God and his family. He especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren. He loved music and singing, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and collecting treasures throughout the years. Karew never met a stranger and lived his life pointing people toward Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn, and his four children: Shelly (CT) Wilcox, Karissa (Jeff) Spearman, Jason (Meg) Manns, and Jared (Deb) Manns. Karew was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren: Abbigail, Jacob, Cameron, Ethan, Seth, JJ, Addi, Wade, Sam, and Reagan. He is also survived by siblings, Gene, Bob, Hank, Leburn, George, Paul, Zelma, Tressie, and his twin sister, Carolyn. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Alma, Mike, Whit, and three infant siblings.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on Sunday, July 6th from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at New Hope Church in Kenton. A celebration of Karew’s life will begin at 5:00 P.M. at the church. Burial at Grove Cemetery will take place at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is helping with the arrangements.

Karew’s life was a testimony of God’s love, and his legacy will continue in the lives of those he touched.

Memorial donations in Karew’s honor may be made to New Hope Church.
