Margaret Ann “Peg” Gossard, 72 of Kenton, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Marion General Hospital. She was born in Kenton on September 28, 1951 to the late George and Maxine (Gilbert) LaWarre.
Margaret is survived by her children: Eric Gossard and Stephanie (Tony Biederman) Gossard; sister, Shelva Jean (Elmer) Joseph. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Sue Gossard and brothers, Calvin and Jack LaWarre.
Margaret attended Kenton High School. She was a homemaker and storm spotter for the National Weather Service. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cooking. Those who knew Margaret would affectionately describe her as loyal, “stubborn” and fiercely protective of her family.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Grove Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Randall J. Forester officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Online condolences may be left for the family at stoutcrates.com.
