Marsha (Poe) Phillips passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the Blanchard Place in Kenton. She was born on December 23, 1946, in Kenton to the late Edward and Susie (Allen) Poe. On June 9, 1988, she married Randy R. Phillips and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2024.
Surviving are a daughter, Ashley Phillips of Kenton, granddaughter, Peyton Bailey, several siblings, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bryan Bodine and several siblings.
Above all, Marsha will be remembered for the silent gifts she left her family through the lessons she taught. She had her own unique way of teaching those she loved about strength, loyalty, and standing on their own two feet. Her lessons weren’t always spoken, but they were lessons that would last a lifetime.
Her biggest joy was her granddaughter, Peyton. Although Marsha had a tough exterior, she loved deeply. She may not have always shown her love in the conventional ways, but those closest to her knew just how much she cared.
Marsha will be greatly missed every day. However, the lessons she taught, the strength she instilled, and the love she carried will live on in the hearts of the people she loved.
At Marsha’s request, there will be no services held and she will be cremated. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
