Obituary for Michael “Mike” E. Manns

Funeral services for Michael “Mike” E. Manns will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Jason Manns officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home.

Mike passed away on Tuesday, August 05, 2025, at St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima. He was born on December 14, 1962, in Kenton to Mary Lou (Ferrell) Salsbury of Dunkirk and the late Tony Manns Sr. He married Tammy Castle on June 29, 2015 and she survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are his children; Jessie (Luke) Lowery, Brandon Slack, grandchildren; Jason, Liam and Damian Lowery, siblings; Crystal (Dennis) Titus, Mitchel (Rhonda) Manns, Vonda (Tony) Perkins, Ronald (Lisa) Manns, Tony (Rhonda) Manns, Amanda (Jeremy) Fox, father and mother-law, Frank and Karen Castle Sr, brothers-in-law, Frank (Tammy Ervin) Castle Jr.,Tim (Maria) Castle, sister-in-law, Bev (Joe) Risner and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by a stepfather, Robert “Bob” Salsbury.

Mike had worked at Root Lumber Company and retired in February 2025, after 37 years.

His number one enjoyment was his grandkids. He also enjoyed woodworking, working on mowers, fishing and playing his guitar and loved going to yard sales.

Memorial contributions in Mike’s honor may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
