Obituary for Rita M. Logsdon

Rita M. Logsdon age 99 of Upper Sandusky, died on May 29, 2025 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. She was born in Carey on June 28, 1925 to the late William and Laura (Thies) Niederkohr.

On Apr. 17, 1947 she married Charles P. (Pat) Logsdon, he preceded her in death on Mar.28, 2021. She is survived by a daughter Sharon Huffman, Upper Sandusky, daughters-in-law Linda Logsdon, England and Rose Logsdon, Columbus, grandchildren Melody, Carey, Jessica, Bradley, Michelle, Benjamin & Veronica, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, a sister Irma Hill, Carey and a sister-in-law Cathy Niederkohr, Upper Sandusky.

She is preceded in death by sons Michael Logsdon, Patrick Logsdon, Steven Logsdon and a daughter Karen Logsdon, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Mrs. Logsdon was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Parish. She was a homemaker and worked in the cafeteria at St. Peter Catholic School. She gave of her time as a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store.

She was a member of CLC, Sun Downer Ladies Golf League at Stone Crossing where she shot a hole-in-one, and American Legion Auxiliary where she served as chaplain.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tues. June 3, 2025 at 10:30AM in the Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Parish with Father Savio Manavalan OFM Conv & Deacon Kevin Wintersteller officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Visitation will be held Mon. June 2, 2025 from 5:00-7:00PM at the Bringman Clark Funeral Home. A Catholic Prayer Service and CLC memorial service will be held at 6:45PM.
