Robert “Bob” Howe passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, surrounded by his family at his home. He was born on September 15, 1953, in Kenton to the late Charles and Mary (Sryock) Howe. On February 17, 1973, he married Deborah A. Smith, who survives him in Kenton.
Also surviving are his children, Tina (Ryan Stauffer) Sams, Jason (Elizabeth) Howe, and Derek (Jacqueline) Howe; grandchildren, Haley Sams, Kinley Howe, Benjamin Sams, Kiyah Howe, Kaylor Howe, Madeleine Howe, Andrew Howe, and Christopher Howe; step-grandchildren, Joslyn Stauffer and Luke Stauffer; a brother, Marvin (Connie) Howe; and several nieces and nephews.
A 1971 graduate of Kenton High School, Bob worked for 27 years at Hearthside Food Solutions in McComb, Ohio, retiring in 2019. Following retirement, he worked for the Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton, a role he dearly loved. Bob enjoyed bowling, playing golf, and attending his children’s and grandchildren’s many activities and sporting events.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Jason Manns officiating. Burial at Fairview Belle Center Cemetery will take place at a later date. Friends and family may visit from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the funeral home. The family requests that attendees dress casually in their favorite sports team apparel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home for a future scholarship in Bob’s name.
