Robert “Kit” Carson, age 73 of Kenton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 4, 1952 in Kenton to the late Carl Carson and Eva (Dughman) Carson. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda (Lockwood) Carson.

He is survived by children: Katina Carson, Michelle (David) Smith, Mike (Trisha) Carson; siblings: John (Diane) Carson, Peg (Bob) Cronley, Jean (Joe) Kearns, Kathy Beair, Dick (Bev) Carson; grandchildren: Jayden, Braylon, Ashkii Smith, Evie Carson. He is preceded in death by daughter Patricia Ann Carson; siblings: Carl “Sonny” (Jean) Carson, Ed (Anita) Carson, Chuck “Ox” (Peg) Carson.

Kit was a proud graduate of Belle Center High School class of 1970. He then worked for Durez for 35 years until his retirement. He was an avid bowler for over 40 years, having started on a league in 1974. He bowled in 3 different leagues and scored 300 on two different occasions. He coached Kenton Little League for 12 years. He helped lead his teams to several league championships.

When he wasn’t playing with his kids or grandkids, he would be found cheering on his favorite teams: the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Visitation will be 10am – 12pm, Thursday, April 10, 2025 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Kenton. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12pm with Pastor Jason Manns officiating. Burial will follow at McDonald-Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Not By Choice or Kenton Little League in Kit’s memory.
