
Robert W. Rife, age 72, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, at Wyandot Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on October 11, 1952, in Upper Sandusky, Bob was the beloved son of the late Donald and Ruth (Burnaugh) Rife. He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Price.
Bob dedicated 34 years of his life working as a laborer for A.O. Smith, and after retirement continued serving his community by driving a school bus for the Mohawk School District. A man of the land, he also enjoyed farming part-time, finding fulfillment in working close to nature. Bob was an avid sports fan and could always be found watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, or Cleveland Guardians game. Bob enjoyed watching local high sports as well
He is survived by his son, Ryan (Lisa) Rife of Upper Sandusky, and his cherished
grandchildren, Jacob and Emma Rife, who brought him endless pride and joy. As well as Lu Ann Lehman his longtime friend and loving companion.
A graveside service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Old Mission Cemetery, with Pastor Jay Scott officiating.
