
Rose M. Kelley Slemmer age 80, of Bloomville, died at Blanchard Valley Hospital on Jan. 14, 2026. She was born Mar. 24, 1945 in Upper Sandusky to the late Howard A.J. and Mary Ellen (Cottrell) Horn. She married Steven O. Slemmer on June 29, 2016 and he survives.
Surviving are her children Kimberly (Greg) Dunn, Tiffin, Gary Slemmer, Bloomville, Robert Slemmer, McCutchenville, her grandsons Wesley Kelley and Caleb Kelley, 5 step-grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brothers Mike (Jennifer) Horn, Upper Sandusky, Steve (Sherry) Horn, Bellefontaine, sisters Wanda Knaul, Marion, and Ruth Johnston, AZ. She is preceded in death by a daughter Carmen Kelley and a sister Claudia Jeanne Wood.
Rose graduated in 1963 from Upper Sandusky High School. She had been employed by Westinghouse, A O Smith, Upper Sandusky and Ruffing Nursing Home, Tiffin. She was an avid golfer and bowler in her younger years, playing in many leagues.
