A celebration of life for Ruth Amy Seitz will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ruth passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Kenton Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Kenton on October 7, 1930, to the late Harley Gipson and Eva Newman. In 1954, she married Fred Seitz, and he preceded her in death in 2005.
Surviving are her children: Victor “Butch” Hartise, Charolette (Tim) Adams, Mary (Jr Donall) Morrison, Eva (Steve) Clegg, Brenda (Clyde) Howard, Jim (Pauline) Seitz, Ronnie (Angie) Seitz, 18 grandchildren, and several great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Freddie Seitz and 3 siblings.
Ruth worked for the Hardin Memorial Hospital in housekeeping but was mainly a homemaker. She attended the House of Prayer Church in Kenton.
Ruth loved being with her family and taking care of her kids. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
