Saundra L. Sherman, age 84, of Kenton, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima. She was born on September 22, 1941, in Kenton to the late Amuil and Geraldine (McGinnis) Harsh. In 2004, she married Eldon Sherman, who preceded her in death on February 9, 2022.

She is survived by her daughter, Dara (Kenneth) Allsup of Kenton; grandchildren, Hannah Allsup, James K. (Ashley) Allsup, and Dailyn Campbell; and great-grandchildren, Calla Grace Campbell, Travis Mikel, Sawyer Allsup, Forest Allsup, Dara Allsup-Weber, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Gloria “Jeanie” Anderson who was her lifelong best friend and sister.

Saundra was preceded in death by her son, Dale Campbell; grandson, Damon Campbell; and siblings, Eugene Harsh, Carl “Dicky” Harsh, Donna Hattery, Neil Harsh, and Bill Harsh.

Saundra retired after more than 20 years of service as a CNA at The Hardin County Home and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Kenton. 

She had a deep love for animals. Saundra enjoyed playing Scrabble, shopping, and cooking for her family. She took great pride in bringing her family together and served as a matriarch to those she loved.

Funeral services for Saundra L. Sherman will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Otterbein Cemetery. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in Saundra’s honor may be made to the Hardin County Dog Shelter.
