Sharon D. Tanner age 73 of Upper Sandusky, died at her residence on Jan. 3, 2025. She was born Nov. 24, 1951 in Canton to the late Okey and Bonnie (Garvin) Gillespie. She married Junie H. Tanner on Jan. 9, 1967, he preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1992. Surviving are her children Norman Tanner, AL, Jimmie Tanner, Carey, Dwight (April) Tanner, Carey, Sylvia (Ray) Huddleston, AL, Chad Tanner, Upper Sandusky, 21 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren with two on the way, siblings Robert Gillespie, AL, Nual “Jr.” (Michelle) Forsyth, Bob Forsyth, Karen (Phillip) Munn, Cindy Forsyth and Kathy Forsyth, all of AL. She is preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, a brother and a sister.
Mrs. Tanner was a homemaker, and had worked for Porcelain Products, Carey in the 1970’S, and was a waitress at the Dark Horse Restaurant. She was a member of the American Legions Post #344, Carey.
