Sue Ann “Susie” James age 82 of Forest, died Jan. 6, 2025 at St. Rita’s Hospital, Lima. She was born Dec. 8, 1942 in Marion Co. to the late George and Lucille “Kate” (Wasserback) Reynolds. She married William “Bill” James on Dec. 17, 1960, he survives in Forest. She is survived by a daughter Tonja “TJ” (Samantha Bradburn) James, Waynesville, a daughter-in-law, Kim (Michael) Moore, Arlington, granddaughter, Kylie Moore, Arlington, a brother Thomas (Janet) Reynolds, Marion. Susie is preceded in death by her son Rodney James.
Susie graduated from Green Camp High School with the class of 1960. She attended LaRue United Methodist Church and played the organ for 36 years at the Presbyterian Church, Forest. She was employed by Triumph Thermal for 42 years, the last 10 years working in the office. She was life member of VFW Auxiliary #1182, member of the Forest Jackson Fire Department Auxiliary, social membership of Tiny Tot Mother’s Club. Susie collected antique corn items, she loved music, and enjoyed vacationing in Michigan. She was an avid reader and loved being outside. Susie always made everyone feel special….she touched a lot of lives, she will be missed.
Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Fri. Jan. 10, 2025 in Clark Shields Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Thompson officiating. Visitation is Thurs. Jan. 9, 2025 from 3:00PM-6:00PM, and an hour prior to services on Fri. at Clark Shields Funeral Home. Interment will be in Hueston Cemetery, Forest.
