Terry “Tink” Vermillion passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 2, 1953, to the late Doris Vermillion and Eugene Scott.
He is survived by his loving sister, Colleen (Daniel) Hall; cherished aunt, Dorothy Hale, nephews, Craig (Karen) Schlinglof and Steven Schlinglof; nieces, Lauryn (Daniel) Pitroff and Sydney (Wade) Patterson; and dear friends, Brandi (Jim), Derek, and Miranda Rowe.
He is preceded in death by brother, Larry Dunson.
Those who loved Terry most remember sunny days on the front porch swing, album after album of old-school rock and roll, and complaining about the ever-disappointing Cleveland Browns. Terry loved to reminisce, and always had a story that would remind those he loved of the ‘good old days’. Many of us owe our taste in music, our love for the Browns and the Buckeyes, and our sense of humor to Terry. He will be sincerely missed.
It was Terry’s wish to be cremated. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Grove Cemetery Committal Building in Kenton. Pastor Denny Livingston will conduct the service. His cremains will be buried beside his loving mother, Doris. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
