Tracy Jo McDonnell, 53, of Alger passed away at St. Rita’s Mercy Medical Center on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 2:32pm. She was born in Lima to the late Jeffrey Lynn and Michele Sue (Adams) Hollstein on Oct. 6, 1969.
Tracy was a 1987 graduate of Elida High School. She married Bill McDonnell on March 25, 1989 and he survives along with their three children, Natalee, Ashlee (Braedon Frisch) and Scotty, two granddaughters, Carlee and Callee, along with the friends of her children that she was “second mom” to, as being a mother was what she considered her most important role in the world. She is also survived by brothers, Jeffrey Scott (Sulee) Hollstein and Jayson (Brandy) Hollstein, several nieces and nephews, and a lifelong sister-in-law, Erin. Tracy leaves behind a host of close friends, that were more like family.
Tracy devoted her life to her family, attending every event and supporting every step of the way. Tracy will forever be remembered for her sense of humor, her facial expressions that said exactly what she was thinking, and her selflessness, always putting everyone before herself.
At her request, there will be no services held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
