William “BJ” Kirk, 47 of Kenton, passed away August 15, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. BJ was born to William “Bill” and Susan Kirk on June 30, 1975. BJ was a graduate of Kenton City Schools in 1993. He married Margaret “Maggie” DeVore on February 14, 1998, and she survives him. He is also survived by his mother Susan, sisters; Sherry (Cliff) Maier, Aimee (Bobby) Sorenson, sons; Kobe, Michael Crawford, Kyle, daughter; Keegan, “children of another”; Landon and Patrick Bartlett, niece; Hailey, nephews; Dillion and Zander “Zan-Man”, aunt; Jean (Floyd) Elsea, uncles William (Gayle) Ward, Richard “Rick” Kirk, Kenneth “Kenny” Kirk, cousins; Jacob Ward, Megan Moore-Weber, Tiffany Elsea and step-mother; Connie Kirk. BJ was preceded in death by his father; William, cousin; Matthew Ward, aunt; Margaret Moore and his grandparents. BJ was an exceptional son, amazing brother and uncle. He loved his wife and family with all his heart and loved spending every second with them whether it was watching movies, playing games or just listening to music. BJ was a “foodie”. He loved to grill and go to eat at “Triple D” restaurants. He was a big high school soccer fan, Ohio State and a San Francisco 49er fan. BJ was an indoor soccer coach and an organ donor. BJ will be truly missed by his family, friends and his Kenton Soccer Family. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church with Pastor Tom Hanks officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. The family has requested that sports apparel be worn with Crocs if you have any. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of BJ to the Layton Rogers Foundation.
