
William E. Beaman, 79 of Kenton passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025. He was born to William R. and Helen C. Beaman on April 21, 1946 in Kenton, Ohio. He graduated from Kenton High School, class of 1964.
On January 20, 1974, he married Alice VanAtta and she preceded him in death on May 5, 2019. Bill worked for The Ohio State University, Buckeye Rubber, Meritor and Precision Strip.
He is survived by his loyal dog/companion Maddie, daughters; Amy Lawson of Lakeview, Ohio, Sherry (Jared) Cantrell of Bellefontaine, Marcy Martindale of Ada, Emily (Billy) Beaman of Kenton, brothers; Brice (JoEllen) Beaman of McGuffey, Brent (Cheryl) Beaman of Kenton, Brad (Sharon) Beaman of Brunswick, Ohio, Barth (Erica) Beaman of Dayton, sisters; Barbara Beaman, Rebecca “Becky” (Don) Diglia of Shawnee and sister-in-law, Joni Beaman.
Bill is also survived by nine grandchildren; Tyler McKenzie of Lima, Taylor (Rion) Holloway of Kenton, Shannon (DJ) Foy of Bellefontaine, Colleen (Steven) Jenkins of Lima, Christian Martindale of Forest, Chloe Martindale, Royce Martindale both of Ada, Adell (Troy) Spears and Gabe Spears both of Kenton, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Alice, daughter, Wendy Rayburn, brothers, Robert and Bryan Beaman and a granddaughter, Jerrica Benton.
Bill was a life-long member of the NRA and was also a member of the Kenton Moose and Eagles. An avid fisherman and hunter, he was a world class pistol shooter and a member of IPSC.
He had a great sense of humor and vast knowledge that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the Kenton Moose Lodge from 3:00 – 5:00 PM.
