A new era has started at the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Colonel Richard S. Fambro, Office of the Superintendent, retired this past Friday after 32 years with the Patrol.
He began his Patrol career as a cadet dispatcher assigned to the Lancaster Post in August 1989.
He became a member of the 119th Academy Class in January 1990.
Lieutenant Colonel Charles A. Jones has assumed the responsibilities.
He was appointed to the position and promoted earlier this month by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine.
He began his Patrol career in February 1994 as a member of the 126th Academy Class.
