The Kenton City Schools will be searching for a new superintendent after the Chagrin Falls School District hired Jennifer Penczarski for that position.
The Board approved her three year contract by a 5-0 vote at a special meeting held Wednesday evening.
Dr. Penczarski has been the superintendent for the Kenton City Schools since 2010.
She issued this release Wednesday night:
April 15, 2021
Dear Kenton City Schools Community,
After many conversations with my family and some serious soul searching over the past few weeks, I have made the decision to resign from the Kenton City School District.
I have accepted an offer from Chagrin Falls Exempted Village School District to be their next superintendent effective July 1, 2021.
It has been an honor to be the superintendent of the Kenton City School District for the past eleven years and serve our students, staff, and families. I am proud of what we have accomplished as a school community, making our students the highest priority. I am exceedingly grateful for all of the long hours and hard work the KCS Board of Education, administrative team, and employees have put forth to ensure we provide the highest quality education we can afford for our children.
Michael and I will treasure the friendships and close ties we have made during our tenure in Kenton.
We will continue to support and advocate for the work of the Kenton City School District. I am excited to see what great things lie ahead for our staff and students.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your superintendent. Best of luck in all your future endeavors!
Kindest regards,
Jennifer Penczarski, Ed.D.
She will assume her new duties at Chagrin Falls on July 1, 2021.
