Ridgemont teachers and staff participated in a Youth Mental Health First Aid course that is part of the Mental Health Awareness Project this week.
This grant-funded course, made possible through the OSU Hardin County Extension, is designed to teach methods of assisting young persons who may be in the early stages of developing a mental health problem or are in a mental health crisis.
This training provided teachers and staff with an opportunity to better understand what mental health is, what some of the common diagnosis are, and how to respond to youth who might be experiencing a crisis.
If you or someone you know is interested in taking a course like that or would like more information on mental health contact the Ridgemont School.
