Riverdale scored the game’s final five points to edge Bluffton 39-35 in girls basketball action Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons (5-8) led by double figures late in the third quarter, but the Pirates slowly chipped away at Riverdale lead in the fourth quarter.
Riley Eachus converted back-to-back three-pointers to put the Pirates on top 35-34 in the final minute, but Riverdale’s Reagan McKinniss immediately shook free for a layup to put the Falcons back on top.
Carrigan Vent and Danielle Searfoss then iced the game at the foul line for the Falcons.
Bluffton (10-8) was led by Laykin Garmatter and Sami Scoles, who scored 11 points each, with Eachus adding 9 points on three triples.
Vent had 13 points for Riverdale to lead all players.
