Two members of the Amish community were injured in a crash involving a semi and horse drawn buggy Sunday afternoon.
According to a release from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on State Route 31 and Township Road 265 south of Kenton.
A horse-drawn buggy entered 31 from 265 into the path of a south bound semi being operated by 53 year old Justin Gabianou, of Columbus.
25 year old Levi Yoder and 20 year old Orfa Yoder were ejected from the buggy, and they were transported to Lima Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
BKP EMS, Kenton Fire Department and Mt. Victory Fire Department EMS assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
