
Kenton Wildcats lose a pitchers duel to the Bath Wildcats on Tuesday night.
Bath scored the first run of the contest in the top of the first on a sac fly, but Kenton quickly answered with a single by Kyle Thrush followed by a double from Luke Leffler scoring Thrush to even the score 1-1. The score stayed there until the top of the 7th when Bath pushed their second run across. Kenton threatened in the bottom of the 7th but fell just short.
Starting on the mound for the Kenton Wildcats was Kyle Thrush going 7.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 K’s.
Leading Hitters were :
Luke Leffler : 2-3, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 SB
Kyle Thrush : 1-3, 1 R
MJ Coulson : 0-1, 2 BB
Hunter Taylor : 0-0, 1 BB
Kenton JV also took a tough 1 run loss, losing 3-4 at Bath on Tuesday.
Both JV and Varsity are back in action on Thursday vs Marion Pleasant. JV home 5 PM, Varsity away 5:15 PM.
