Kenton Wildcats Bowling Competed in the WBL Tournament

The Kenton Wildcats headed to Westgate Lanes on Thursday for the WBL Tournament. The boys team posted a total of 3900 (three individual games and six bakers) to take 4th place, just 39 pins shy of 3rd. They rolled games of 1024, 926, and 959, with bakers of 165, 205, 192, 135, 146, and 148. Individually, Eban Albert led the way with a 627 series (200 – 195 – 232) to place 3rd overall. Other scores included Cale Harshfield’s 605 (209 – 229 – 167) for 10th, Hudson Latimore’s 597 (214 – 168 – 215) for 13th, Trevor Roesner’s 573 (199 – 172 – 202) for 23rd, and Noah Beidelschies’ 507 (202 – 162 – 143) for 37th.

The girls team finished 8th with a score of 3251 (three individual games and six bakers), rolling games of 831, 801, and 780, and bakers of 144, 137, 152, 88, 139, and 179. Jazalyn Worthington topped the girls with a 552 series (170 – 182 – 200) for 6th place. Karyn Hopkins bowled a 536 (193 – 179 – 164) for 8th, Presley Wilson scored 504 (159 – 171 – 174) for 18th, followed by Brayla Butler’s 334 (169 – 165) for 45th, Addie Hites’ 140 for 50th, and Lynnze Michel’s 131 for 52nd.

Both squads earned a single All-WBL selection: Karyn Hopkins for the girls and Eban Albert for the boys. Next up, the Wildcats will compete at the Perry Invitational at 20th Century Lanes on Saturday, then head to Bowlero Lanes in Fostoria on Tuesday, February 10, for the NW District Sectional Tournament.
