The United Way of Hardin County is proud to announce the official renaming of its beloved annual fundraiser to the “Linda Garmon Memorial Mini Football Drop”, in honor of long-time supporter and community champion, Linda Garmon.
Linda’s enduring dedication to the mission of United Way and her enthusiastic support of this annual event made a lasting impact on Hardin County. For years, she worked tirelessly to promote community involvement, encourage charitable giving, and ensure that local programs received the support they needed to thrive.
“Linda continued to support the Football Drop every year, from selling tickets to storing the footballs at her residence. She made sure this event continued every year. It is with great respect and gratitude that we rename this event in her memory,” explained Martha Evans-Nau, executive director of the United Way of Hardin County.
The 2025 Linda Garmon Memorial Mini Football Drop will take place during halftime at the Hardin Northern vs. Ridgedale football game on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Pete Brunow Field, Hardin Northern Local School. Miniature footballs will be dropped onto the field, each representing a ticket purchased. Tickets are available for just $5 each, with proceeds benefiting the United Way of Hardin County and its many community programs. You do not need to be present to win.
Tickets can be purchased by calling 419-675-1860 or by scanning the QR code on event flyers and social media posts.
